Sensor Development Kit (SDK)

The Sensor Development Kit offers a simple, efficient and cost-effective way to test and integrate the Ion Science photoionisation detection (PID) sensors into any system.

SDK comprises two printed circuit boards (PCBs); the Sensor PCB and the Integration PCB.  Both PCBs have a small footprint and can be easily fitted into existing original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) equipment and systems.  A PCB mounted gas delivery hood is available which fits over the PID sensor and makes it easy to deliver gas.

Sensor PCB

The Sensor board acts as a sensor breakout board enabling users to insert a MiniPID photoionisation detection (PID) sensor and perform basic sensor testing. It can also be connected to the Integration board making it really simple to add PID sensors to any application.

Integration PCB

The Integration board provides signal processing, data logging and communications with industry standard 4-20 mA and Modbus outputs.  It can be configured to switch a relay on at a given VOC concentration.   The Integration board is configured with a simple PC application.

What’s included

The SDK is comprised of two printed circuit boards (PCBs), a Sensor PCB  and Integration PCB with a Gas delivery hood.

Sensor PCB:

  • Accepts Ion Science MiniPID 2 10.6eV regulated sensor with a 3 pin configuration

Integration PCB:

  • Programmable module allowing simple setup and calibration of the MiniPID 2

Gas delivery hood:

  • Encapsulates the MiniPID 2 sensor allowing a sealed pump connection

The PCBs are also available to purchase separately if required.
